All bids are per lot as numbered in the catalogue.
We reserve the right to withdraw any lot, divide a lot, or group
two or more lots prior to the sale or on the date of sale.
The highest bidder shall prevail at one advance
over the next highest bidder. Tie bids shall go to the first bid
received. The auctioneer shall regulate the bidding and reserves
the right to refuse any bid believed by him not to be made in
good faith. Any bid that does not commensurate with the value
of the item offered, or which is merely a nominal or fractional
advance over the previous bid, may be rejected by the auctioneer,
at his discretion if in his judgement such a bid would be likely
to affect the sale injuriously. In the event of a dispute between
bidders or between bidders and the auctioneer, his decision shall
be final. Neither the auctioneer nor we shall be liable for errors
or omissions in executing instructions to bid.
MAIL BIDDERS: Successful mail bidders will be
notified of lots purchased and must remit payment before the lots
are sent. A person known to us, or who furnishes satisfactory
references, may at our option have purchases forwarded for payment
within 4 days. Handling ($2), postage, registration and insurance
are extra. Lots over $100 are sent by Express Post to Canada,
Lots over $100 are sent by registered mail to the USA and Overseas.
Proof, by the auctioneer of sending to the advised address shall
constitute delivery.
Title shall not pass to the buyer until we receive
full payment. A late payment charge of 2% per month (minimum $5)
is charged to all overdue accounts. Payment not received by us
within 21 days of mailing will be subject to a 2% service charge
in addition to interest charges.
If we take action to enforce these terms and conditions
and conditions of sale or to secure payment of any amount due
to us from a bidder or purchaser, the defaulter bidder or purchaser
shall be liable for all legal FEES/COLLECTION charges and other
costs and expenses incurred by us, including to reasonable attorney's
fee. The lots in question may be re-offered for sale and any loss
arising from such a sale will be charged to the defaulter.
We guarantee all lots to be genuine. If a buyer
wished to obtain an expert opinion acceptable to us on a lot,
he must request such an extension in writing before the sale (on
the bidsheet is acceptable). Lots sold under this condition are
open for up to 90 days, after which the lot will not be returnable.
All lots sent on extension must be paid under our normal terms.
A full refund will be made for negative opinion including the
fee (maximum $30).
Claims for errors in description must be made
within 7 days of receipt and received by us before a refund is
made. Stamps returned must be in the state received (in the original
loting card). THE FOLLOWING LOTS ARE NOT RETURNABLE FOR ANY REASON
WHATSOEVER: Lots containing 10 or more stamps, lots described
with defects or faults, collections or large lots, photographed
lots may not be returned because of centering, perforations, margins,
cancellations or other factors shown in the photo, lots described
'as is', any lot that has been altered while in the purchaser's
care, and bidders who viewed the lots. Late remittance for purchase
may, at auctioneer's option, be considered just cause to revoke
all return privileges. Postage for return will be borne by the
purchaser. NO LOTS MAY RETUNED FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER AFTER
30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF SALE.
All lots are sold in Canadian funds. Canadian
residents pay 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST). BC residents pay
7.5% BC Sales Tax. NFLD, NB and NS residents please add 15% HST.
US funds will be accepted at the rate of exchange. You may use
your Visa, Master Card or American Express for your purchases.
Just fill in the information at bottom of bid sheet. Bid sheet
must be signed. Residents from other countries are excluded from
GST.
No individual Auctioneer, employee, officer or
director of NORTHWESTERN PHILATELIC AUCTIONS INC. shall be held
liable to any personal liability for errors, negligence or otherwise.

as OG. Stamps after 1897 have full original gum (OG). All stamps
are considered hinged unless stated as never hinged (NH).
CATALOGUE NUMBERS
Catalogue numbers and prices are used in this catalogue from the
latest UNITRADE SPECIALIZED CATALOGUE (UN) (former Scott's specialized)
for CANADA AND NEWFOUNDLAND. GR. BRITAIN AND BR. COMMONWEALTH are
from latest SCOTT RETAIL. Where an estimate is given (EST) is for
cash value of lot or what the lot should sell and fractional amounts
will not succeed. Bids should be determined by quality, condition
and scarce factor of that particular issue. Lots may sell above
or below our estimates. All lots are unreserved. If a lot does not
reach a reasonable level (or a bid is not commensurate with the
value of the lot) may be withdrawn.
CATLOGUES AND PRICES REALIZED
With costs going up all the time especially postage and printing
and with no buyers premium we have to get catalogues in to buyers
and all active purchasers will continue to receive our catalogues.
When we find that there is no response we delete that name. If you

BIDDING INTERVALS
Up to $50 2.50, $50-$100 5.00, $100-$300 10.00, $300-$1000 25.00;
over $1000 50.00. Odd bids will be reduced down to conform to these
intervals and will not win over lots over other bids in the case
of tie bids.
